How blessed are we to be Gods children? Last night like every night, I read a few passages in my NLT Bible and say my prayers and go to sleep. Last night was the same... As I prayed before reading my Bible, I asked the Lord to show me a scripture I can use in my daily life( I know there are many, but I figure God knows the area in which I need the most application)Then I was lead to Psalm 145:8. As I read it, read over it and then came back to it, it was evident this is what God was showing me. The verse says..
The Lord is merciful and compassionate,
slow to anger and filled with unfailing love.
Psalm 145:8
I thought this was such an awesome verse since you can apply it to every aspect of your life in striving to be like Christ. Then I realized as a mother this is a "Golden verse". We as parents, mothers, grandparents have been given an example of how we should be with our children. Merciful, Compassionate, Slow to anger and filled with unfailing love. We are all Sinners and our father in heaven loves us so much that this verse seems to encompass the depth of His love. We need to have this depth of love for our Children and all people(even when you want to scream)we must follow Gods example! Seriously... How blessed are we!
